The English Glasshouse, AGA and Thomas Ford & Sons team up to help Shooting Star CHASE
The English Glasshouse exhibit at this year's Chelsea Flower Show was recognised by Chelsea judges as an ‘outstanding presentation’. With all the hard work that went into the design, construction and finishing touches, it was a wonderful result for all involved.
The English Glasshouse exhibit at this year's Chelsea Flower Show will feature the new AGA Total Control cooker – the very first time the iconic British brand has been at the prestigious event.
The partnership is particularly exciting because the innovative AGA Total Control is one of the highest profile launches by AGA in many years.
It is the first ever AGA that can be turned on and off. It features a touch-screen control panel offering users ultimate control at the touch of a button. Each oven and hotplate can be used independently and the AGA Total Control can even be programmed remotely using the new AGA phone app.
The garden landscape for our exhibit at the 2012 Chelsea Flower Show has been designed by previous gold medal winners Deakinlock.
Deakinlock is the professional practice of leading independent landscape and garden designers, Chris Deakin and Jason Lock. The company is based in East Anglia, but works on landscape and garden designs throughout the UK and overseas.
Chris and Jason’s vision for Deakinlock is to offer their clients inspirational garden design of the highest standard. They enjoy creating beautiful, stimulating spaces that are individually tailored to suit each client and location. Chris Deakin, MSGD, was head designer at Pantiles Landscapes in Surrey prior to working with Notcutts. During his time at Pantiles, he worked on many gold award-winning gardens at both Chelsea and Hampton Court, gaining the Tudor Rose ‘Best in Show’ in 1998.
In 2001, Chris was awarded full membership to the Society of Garden Designers (MSGD) and received the Association of Professional Landscapers’ Supreme Award in 2005. Chris was recently elected to the Council of the Society of Garden designers.
Jason Lock, MSGD, has worked in the garden design industry for over 20 years, becoming a Registered Member of the Society of Garden Designers in 1994. During his career he has been Chief Executive and Chairman of the Association of Professional Landscapers. He has won numerous national awards, and design more than 10 gold medal winning gardens for Notcutts. Jason has also been on the judging panel of national awards schemes, for the BBC and more recently invited to lecture at the London College of Garden Design at Kew.
Whatever the style of garden, from ‘contemporary urban’ to ‘rural idyll’, Chris and Jason show flair for strong design and creativity, as well as an acute attention to detail. Their horticultural expertise and practical landscaping skills, combined with their passion for the business, has created a formidable and successful partnership.
Our exhibit at this year's Chelsea Flower Show will feature stunning tiles from Lapicida Stone.
For Lapicida, locating, crafting and presenting only the finest quality stone tile products is a passion that borders upon obsession. It is this quest for perfection that continues to deliver total satisfaction.
Stone is natural. Its individual nuances are its beauty. Careful selection and fastidious attention to detail is essential to achieving consistency. It is also available in a wide spectrum of grades, not simply the variety name. Lapicida only selects very best products, leaving the lesser grades to other companies. Lapicida’s skilled family of stone experts fiercely protect this important tradition.
Lapicida’s burgeoning reputation arose from a culture of quality, innovation, knowledge, and unashamed exclusivity. Now the authority on exclusive natural stone tile products, Lapicida continues to lead the way.
The kitchen setting in our exhibit at this year's Chelsea Flower Show will be crafted by Bryan Turner Kitchens.
For more than 30 years, Bryan Turner has been making fine bespoke furniture to the most exacting standards. With an extensive background in antique furniture restoration, he has developed an eye for classical furniture, architectural proportions and design balance.
The company has been built around exceptional craftsmen who take great pride in their work and they build kitchens to the same standards found in fine furniture. From its Norfolk-based headquarters, the company designs and builds bespoke kitchen furniture for installation throughout the country.
The company produces kitchens made individually and unique to the customer. Everything, including doors and cupboards, is made in-house and the solid English oak drawers are made with dovetail joints cut by hand. At Bryan Turner Kitchens, no corners are cut and no detail skimped. The company also offers a complimentary design service and its installation, project management and after sales service are of the highest standard.
